Mars Hill Cycling Camp

Packing Lists for MTB & Road/Gravel Camps

Please put your name on every item you don’t want to lose. A permanent marker or labels work great.

MTB Camps

Mountain bike! (clean and proper working condition). Highly recommend a tune-up before

camp, especially making sure tires (aggressive tread recommended), drivetrain (chain, cassette, chainring), brakes/pads, fork/shocks, dropper post are in excellent condition. If you run tubeless tires, please top off with a couple ounces of sealant in each tire. While we’ll have tools and some extra parts for basic repairs, no one wants to walk out of the woods due to preventable issues.

Parts specific to your bike for unforeseen repairs. For example: extra tire, hanger, chain,

tubes, spokes, shoe cleats (if clipless), brake pads. If you happen to have an extra rear
derailleur, bring it just in case (but don't go buy one).

Strongly recommend a hydration pack which can also carry food and items to fix a flat (plugs, tubes, tire levers, CO2 cartridges and inflator or mini-pump), multi-tool, quick-link for your chain type, etc.

Road/Gravel Camp

Road or Gravel bike! (clean and proper working condition). Highly recommend a tune-up before camp, especially making sure tires, drivetrain (chain, cassette, chainring), and brakes/pads are in excellent condition. We’ll have tools and some parts for basic repairs.

Parts specific to your bike for unforeseen repairs. For example: extra tire, tubes, hanger, chain, spokes, shoe cleats, brake pads.

If opting for the hybrid gravel option: road and gravel tires/wheels to swap out, or you can ride gravel tires during our road rides.

A seat pack to carry: spare tube and items to fix a flat (plugs, tire levers, CO2 cartridges and inflator or mini-pump), multi-tool, quick-link for your chain type, etc.
