A 6-day overnight camp for intermediate to advanced male and female junior riders looking to develop skills, confidence, and fitness. Each day introduces new skills with opportunity to practice on easy terrain before putting them to use out on the trails. We'll get in plenty of mileage and keep the stoke level high by riding some of the best trails Western North Carolina has to offer, including Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest.

What you can expect: skills-based instruction adjusted to your skill level for technical descending, climbing (we earn our turns!), cornering and braking; safety and situational awareness on trail; equipment selection, maintenance and repair; training and racing strategies; proper bike fit, fueling, and recovery; lots of fun group dynamics. Plus picnics, games, movie nights and waterfalls!

Mars Hill Cycling Camps and USA Cycling

For years Mars Hill Cycling Camps have aimed to provide not only a fun and enriching summer road and mountain bike overnight camp experience, but also to provide education and training to help campers reach the next level in their sport.  For 2024 we are again partnered with USA Cycling as a part of their Athlete Development Pathway Regional Camp system. This means that campers who are looking to stand out and be recognized by USA Cycling’s development pathway will be able to use the Mars Hill Cycling Camps as a stage to do that. But all campers can expect the same riding, fun, and enrichment we’ve always provided. More info: USA Cycling's Athlete Development Pathway Camps
