Hugh Moran started Mars Hill Cycling Camp in 2012 while the head cycling coach at Mars Hill University, a position he held for 7 years, leading the team to 6 national championships and the #1 DII national ranking for 3 years. Starting cycling as a junior and National Team Member, Hugh raced professionally on the road for several years and continues to race road, gravel, and mountain bike events.

Reid Beloni co-directs Mars Hill Cycling Camp and is a Senior Coach at CTS. After a successful collegiate cycling career, Reid continues to race at the elite level in road and cyclocross, is a National Champion in Endurance Mountain Biking, and a feared gravel racer. He's competed in marquee events like Cape Epic, Dirty Kanza 200, Haute Route, and Leadville 100.

Johnny Mitchell is the head cycling coach at Lindsey Wilson College. Prior to that he was an assistant coach and  member of the team when Milligan University won two collegiate national championships. A category 1 road racer for ten years, he's twice placed inside the top 10 at USAC Elite Road Nationals. Since he’s the head coach of a leading collegiate program, he’s a great asset for young student athletes to learn about what’s available in collegiate cycling, which is the next step for many of our campers.

Maggie Rumley is an outdoor educator with a degree in Outdoor Experimental Education from Appalachian State. She leads a number of different youth and non-profit bike programs, and she is a professional mountain bike instructor with the well known Mountain Bike Skills Factory.

Josh Whitmore is the owner of Mountain Bike Skills Academy and an Expert Level Coach at CTS where he is the company's most qualified mountain bike skills instructor. A National Champion in Endurance Mountain Biking, Josh has competed in the Pisgah Mountain Bike Stage Race, Leadville 100, and Dirty Kanza 200.

Abigail Marshall is our first camp alumn to come back to us as a coach! Abigail raced collegiately for Lees McRae College while studying exercise science. She has been racing her bike since she was 3 and loves to be outdoors.

Jack Bound is a professional mountain bike racer and coach. He's raced multiple UCI downhill mountain bike races. He works as a bike mechanic and coach at Kanuga Bike Park.

Sierra Sims grew up riding bikes with her family and started racing in college. She is an XC National Champion and races mountain bike, enduro, road, cyclocross, and gravel events. She is a professional cycling coach with FasCat Coaching. A part of the USAC Athlete Development Pathway in 2022 she can shed some light on that for campers looking to be selected into those programs. Sierra has also been a Little Bellas mentor for the past 3 years and a president of UTK's Bicycle Club.

Erik Street has been working mountain bike summer camps since 2019. He’s been a student-athlete at Lindsey Wilson College and can speak to the opportunities in collegiate cycling. He is an accomplished downhill and enduro racer and raced for the esteemed Gravity Racing Academy. When he's not at camp, Erik can be found roaming the Southeast in his van putting his theatre degree to use in front of the camera.

Marjie Bemis has a degree in nursing at Milligan College where she raced on the road and mountain bike. She’s stood on the national champion podium in both disciplines and is a professional road racer for Roxo racing.

Andrew Blackstock has a background in mountain biking having done the famed Pisgah Mountain Bike Stage Race a number of times and is currently chasing all of the big gravel races like the 140 mile Belgian Waffle Ride. He also works as a cycling coach for Rocket Revolution and is a professional gravel racer.

Jennah Dunham oversees Marketing & Communications initiatives at Asheville School, but in her spare time she's supporting riders to unlock their potential from assistant coaching at Warren Wilson College, supporting Pisgah Rage, and bringing the next Little Bellas Program to the Asheville-area. A road rider who used to dabble in stage races now finds solace spending absurd hours on knobbier tires.
